Brift H Product Communication" Brift H custom-made Edoya brushes
The ultimate shoe brush sought by Brift H founder Hasegawa is the Edoya hand-planted koban-shaped brush. Founded in 1718, Edoya is a long-established company that was given the store name "Edoya" by the shogun family. In this article, we would like to introduce the difference between Brift H's special order products and regular products.
Edoya has been producing original brushes since Brift H was founded. Founded in 1718, during the reign of the 7th Shogun Ietsugu, Rihei I was appointed as a "brush maker" for the Shogun's family, and in 1718, he was given the store name of "Edoya" by the Shogun.
Brift H's founder, Mr. Hasegawa, wandered around in search of the best shoe brush, and finally arrived at the ultimate brush: Edoya's hand-planted koban-type brush. Because they are hand-planted brushes, production is limited, with an average of 40 brushes sold each month on a single day. In this article, we will discuss what makes the Brift H special order different from regular Edoya products.
Please refer to this article to learn more about how we first met with Edoya brushes .
1、Original handle
First of all, the handle is an original specification. Once solid, it is sent to Brift H's lab in Oiso, Japan, where it is soaked in oil and polished with wax one by one. The usual Edoya products are finished with varnish, which is also very beautiful, but we want our shoe brushes to be nurtured like leather shoes, so we use an oil and wax finish to enhance the flavor of the product.
2、Brass plate
In the past, the logo was branded on the brass plate, but now a brass logo plate is embedded and glued on the brass plate. We chose brass because it is a metal that can be aged to give the brushes a more natural look as they are used more and more.
3, Higher Strength Specifications
To ensure that the bristles do not fall out even if we professionals use it every day, we have made it stronger by changing it to an iron wire instead of the usual tegus. The characteristic of hand-planted brushes is that the bristles are bundled and planted one by one in each hole, and the iron wire used for this process makes it possible to plant the bristles more strongly. As for this specification, it is applied to goat hair brushes, which tend to lose their bristles.
Seventeen years ago, when we asked for a special order, we had various prototypes made to change the shape and other features. However, in the end, the size and thickness of the traditional oval shape, as well as the comfort of the square grip, were so great that there was no room for improvement, so we kept it as is.
It's just a shoe brush, but it's a shoe brush. The world's best shoe brushes are the result of Brift H's sensitivity and attention to detail. We hope you will take a look at the best tools in the world, because the best tools never betray you.
