Shoeshine White Belt Dojo - Smooth Leather Shoes
In this 3-step program titled "Shoeshine White Belt Dojo," we will show you how anyone can easily polish their shoes in 3 simple steps, and how you can make your shoes healthier and more beautiful in just 10 minutes.
We will be using the "Smooth Leather Shoe Maintenance Kit. The kit contains 3 items: "Stain Removal Cloth (10 sheets)", "THE CLEANER (SOFT)", and "THE CREAM (colorless)". This is the minimum set required for the maintenance of smooth leather shoes.
We will show you how to maintain your shoes using these three items in three steps. The shoes to be cleaned this time are black J.M. Weston U-tips that have been worn for quite a long time. The leather is very dry and the color has faded to the point that it looks more gray than black.
Now, let's see how clean these shoes can be in three simple steps... let's get to it!
First, start with the stain remover. Wrap the stain remover cloth around your index and middle fingers and shake THE CLEANER well before applying it. Start from the calf and go around in a circle 4-5 times to remove dirt from the entire surface. It feels good that the cloth removes a lot of dirt. When the entire area is roughly wiped, the process is complete.
*One dirt-removing cloth is enough for one foot, so please use it without wasting it.
Next, nourish the leather. Leather dries out and cracks when it loses moisture and oil, and THE CREAM, a nourishing cream, prevents this. This is a top quality cream specially made by a factory that manufactures organic cosmetics, and is composed of 28 naturally derived ingredients.
This nourishing cream is applied to the entire shoe. Please warm the cream with your fingers and apply it with your bare hands. You will feel the leather absorb the cream and become moist. Apply it to your hands as you would apply hand cream to dry winter hands.
After applying the cream, wipe the leather dry with the leftover part of the cloth you used earlier to remove stains. The cream left on the surface is excess cream that did not penetrate into the leather, so wipe it off thoroughly without leaving any residue on the surface. When the leather is smooth to the touch and shiny, you are done!
How does it compare with the first time? The leather was quite dry, but the moisture and gloss have been restored. If I had used THE CREAM in black instead of colorless, I could have finished the shoes more beautifully, but I used a maintenance kit this time, so I could only clean up the leather so far.
If polishing shoes at home requires too many steps or takes too much time, it can be a hassle, so I have given you a three-step process that is easy to follow. The actual time it took was about 10 minutes. Just by setting aside an hour once a month to polish five or six pairs of shoes, your shoes will always be healthy and their life span will be greatly extended.
If you want your shoes to shine well, it may be a good idea to entrust them to a professional.
We will continue to introduce easy and casual methods of shoe polishing in "Shoeshine White Belt Dojo".
