Charles Patch Campaign @ Brift H Aoyama

Brift H Aoyama Store is currently running the Charles Patch Campaign until Wednesday, November 30. You can request a Charles patch in special leather at no extra charge. Please take this opportunity to bring in your cracked shoes or shoes you would like to remake.

About 10 years ago, Prince Charles' (the current King) patched and patched shoes were featured in a magazine, and it was so cool to see him wearing his John Lobb enamel shoes, which he had ordered when he was 20 years old.

I was so cool that Mr. Sato of Studio hidden, who was in charge of repairing Brift H shoes at the time, and I decided to come up with a name for the shoes, "Let's make these shoes popular in Japan! We came up with a name for it and started taking orders for it, saying, "It's a patch that Prince Charles does, so we should call it the Charles Patch.

At first, it took a while to be accepted, with people saying, "That's cool because Prince Charles does it. However, it gradually spread, and now "Charles Patch" has become a proper noun, and more and more repair stores around the world are taking orders for it.

Today, we have a different craftsman, and at Brift H, as the "original Charles Patch store," we are still accepting orders for the patch as a hidden menu item.

This time, we want to make the Charles Patch more widely known and enjoyed. We want you to enjoy it. We have a special leather lineup and are holding a campaign to offer them without an up-charge. If you have shoes that you are hesitant to wear because of cracks, or if you have shoes that you want to restore, why not take this opportunity to ask us to do so?

Please take a look at some photos of our past projects.

These are Pierre Corthay's plain toes. The pinky side was cracked, and it has been Charles patched. This is an example of how we fixed it as naturally as possible so that you can't tell it was fixed. The leather is also applied after adjusting the color to find a leather of a similar color, so it is a natural finish. This is the basic form of the Charles Patch.

Brown plain toe with quite extensive cracks. The owner had a playful spirit, so let's do it with perforations (hole decorations) on the Charles patch. So I drafted this photo with a silver pen.

Here is the actual finished photo. The perforations on the father-and-son holes accentuate the patches, and they have transformed them into a unique pair. The charm of this repair is that we can do this kind of remake-like Charles patch. The possibilities are endless. It can be repaired in any shape you like.

Here is a picture of a Charles patch on an Alden cordovan. What you should pay attention to is the superb technique of applying the patch to the mocca area and reproducing the mocca stitching by hand stitching. The patches are not only applied, but the extent to which they are applied varies from shoe to shoe so that they will last longer in the process of use. This repair is made possible by the high level of skill of our repair craftsmen.

More than 10 kinds of leathers are available for this repair. We can repair shoes in a variety of leathers, including the finest box calf, water-soaked leather, hatch grain, lizard, and crocodile. Please make your own shoes look cool at Charles Patch.

The event will be held throughout November, so please feel free to bring your shoes to the Brift H Aoyama store for a consultation. We would be happy to discuss and decide how to perform the Charles Patch on the spot.

We look forward to seeing you at our store.
