This summer marks the fifth year of Brift H's shoe repair business, which began in 2020. We have been mainly engaged in shoe polishing until then, but we have also received many requests for shoe repairs at the same time. Since we were a group of shoe polishers, we asked our trusted craftsmen to repair our shoes, but we decided to launch our own shoe repair business. We decided to launch a shoe repair business in-house because by doing repairs in-house, we could smoothly coordinate with the shoeshine business and more easily respond to customer requests.

Four years have passed, and through trial and error, we are finally able to provide a stable shoe repair service. Today, we would like to introduce our "Online Shoe Repair Service," which started this year. Tomohiko Yukimae, Brift H's repair captain, who was introduced in the previous issue, fixes shoes at "THE FACTORY by Brift H", a workshop located in Oiso, Kanagawa Prefecture, and polishes them in the Brift H lab next door. If you wish, we can also provide a full shoe polishing service for an additional fee.

Steel toe fitting

This is a repair that protects and reinforces the toes, which are the most susceptible to wear and tear, and which many of you may not know about until you have purchased a pair of genuine leather shoes. This repair is a must for Goodyear leather shoes in particular. Many people have had their toes scraped down to the welt area by asphalt before the leather soles become accustomed to them.
