Happy New Year from Brift H

Happy New Year! Thank you very much for your kindness and support during the past year. We look forward to working with you again in the New Year. We wish you good health and happiness.

The year 2024 will mark the 20th anniversary of Brift H. We started our business in Marunouchi, Tokyo station in 2004, and for about 4 years we have been shining shoes on the street and at home, as well as holding shoe shine events at department stores and brand stores, and exploring new possibilities for shoeshine. Brift H opened its doors in Minami-Aoyama in 2008.

The world's first counter-style shoeshine specialty was considered very innovative at the time and was supported by many shoe lovers." Shoes are polished by shoe lovers! I felt comfortable just knowing that a shoe lover would polish my shoes.

In the 90's, there was a boom in high-end shoes, followed by the establishment of full-scale shoe repair stores such as Union Works, and then Brift H opened as a full-scale shoe shine store as the next trend. Perhaps it matched the times.

Since the opening of Brift H, we have been through a number of major economic upheavals, such as the Lehman Shock, the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the new Corona, and we have overcome them. I have been rowing the boat with a tense mind like a small ship in rough seas, never knowing when it might sink. That is how I feel.

I always said to myself, "Revolution at the feet of the world! and I told myself, "We can't make the world's feet shine if we're going to be ruined by this! Go for it!" I have been inspiring myself to do so. Believing that by the time I die, I will be able to see a world with a brighter footprint than the one we see today, the entire Brift H team will continue to work together to navigate through many rough seas in our 20th year of business.

Since the New Year, there has been a lot of heart-wrenching news about earthquakes and accidents, reminding us of the importance of life and the fragility of life. We will continue to do what we can to support those who have been affected by the disaster, and will continue to make each footstep shine this year as well.
